Reliable HVAC Services by Freeze Refrigeration

After Hours T's & C's

1. Definition of After-Hours Service

After-hours service applies to any work requested or carried out:

• Outside normal business hours

• On weekends

• On public holidays

• Where immediate attendance is requested

All after-hours work is considered emergency service.

2. Call-Out Fee

An after-hours call-out fee of $300 + GST applies to all emergency attendances.

This fee is payable regardless of the outcome of the call-out or whether a repair is completed.

3. Minimum Labour Charge

All after-hours emergency work is subject to a minimum charge of three (3) hours labour.

4. After-Hours Labour Rate

After-hours labour is charged at $200 per hour + GST, calculated from the time of arrival on site until completion or departure.

5. Public Holidays

Emergency service performed on public holidays is charged at:

• Call-out fee: $400 + GST

• Labour rate: $250–$300 per hour + GST

• Minimum charge: four (4) hours labour

6. Authorisation to Proceed

By requesting after-hours or emergency service, the customer:

• Confirms they are authorised to approve the call-out and charges

• Accepts these terms and pricing in full

• Acknowledges that all fees apply once attendance is requested

7. Non-Emergency Work

Issues assessed on site and deemed non-urgent may be deferred to normal business hours at standard rates, at the technician’s discretion.

The after-hours call-out fee and minimum labour charge will still apply.

8. Payment Terms

Payment is due in accordance with agreed trading terms.

Freeze Refrigeration & Air reserves the right to require payment on completion for after-hours and emergency services.

9. Limitation of Liability

While all reasonable care is taken, Freeze Refrigeration & Air is not responsible for:

• Product loss prior to attendance

• Pre-existing faults or equipment condition

• Consequential or indirect losses

10. Acceptance of Terms

Requesting or authorising after-hours service constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Standard Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Work

1.1. Freeze Refrigeration & Air (“the Contractor”) provides refrigeration, air conditioning, and related services, including domestic and commercial work.

1.2. Services provided are as agreed in the written quotation, invoice, or job sheet. Any additional work will be quoted separately.

1.3. For domestic clients, all work is completed in accordance with applicable Australian Standards and manufacturer guidelines.

2. Quotations and Acceptance

2.1. All quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

2.2. Work is not commenced until the quote is accepted by the client. Acceptance may be verbal, written, or via electronic confirmation.

2.3. Quotations are subject to change if unforeseen circumstances arise during the job (e.g., additional parts or labour required).

3. Pricing and Payment

3.1. Standard hourly rate: $100 + GST per hour

3.2. Payment is due on completion unless prior arrangements are made.

3.3. For domestic jobs, a deposit may be requested for larger or complex works.

3.4. Late payments may incur interest at 1.5% per month.

4. Domestic Works

4.1. Domestic clients are entitled to workmanship guarantees for 30 days on service calls and manufacturer warranties on parts supplied.

4.2. Freeze Refrigeration & Air is not liable for pre-existing system defects or issues unrelated to the service performed.

5. Commercial Works

5.1. Commercial clients are responsible for ensuring access to equipment and facilities during the agreed job period.

5.2. Freeze Refrigeration & Air is not responsible for loss of business, stock, or profits resulting from equipment failure.

5.3. Emergency or after-hours work is subject to separate rates and call-out fees (see After-Hours Terms).

6. Parts and Materials

6.1. Parts supplied by Freeze Refrigeration & Air carry manufacturer warranties only.

6.2. Replacement parts not included in the initial quotation will incur additional charges.

6.3. All parts become the property of the client once payment has been received in full.

7. Access and Site Conditions

7.1. The client must provide safe access to the site and equipment.

7.2. Freeze Refrigeration & Air is not responsible for pre-existing damage, unsafe conditions, or restricted access that prevents work completion.

8. Liability and Indemnity

8.1. Freeze Refrigeration & Air takes reasonable care to complete work safely and to standard.

8.2. The Contractor is not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss resulting from service or equipment failure.

8.3. The client agrees to indemnify Freeze Refrigeration & Air against any claims arising from misuse or neglect of equipment after service completion.

9. Cancellation and Rescheduling

9.1. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance for domestic jobs and 48 hours in advance for commercial jobs.

9.2. Late cancellations may incur a fee of $50 – $100 depending on the job.

10. Warranty

10.1. Workmanship warranty:

• Domestic: 3 months from completion unless on a maintenance contract then may be eligible for 10 year warranty

• Commercial: as agreed in quotation or contract

10.2. Parts warranty: Provided by the manufacturer, unless otherwise specified.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved under Australian law.
